Expanding Horizons: Exciting Job Opportunities at Austin Aspires Await!

The immense impact of Austin Aspires in our community has not gone unnoticed. Thanks to the unwavering support of the Austin community and generous donors from all around the nation, we are thrilled to announce that our organization is experiencing remarkable growth. As a result, we have two incredible job openings that offer a unique chance to be part of our mission to transform lives and empower our community.

As The Director of Student Programs you will:

  • Be responsible for staff supervision, including recruiting and onboarding staff, providing staff feedback and staff evaluation, as well as evaluation of programs

  • Maintain space in the schools and Austin Aspires

  • Support and supervise staff working in the Aspires’ Leaders of Tomorrow (A.L.O.T), ACE Tutoring, and Boys of Tomorrow (B.O.T) Club programs

  • Connect navigators to the resources needed by the students/families they are working with

  • Mentor and develop navigators, leaders and staff

  • Gather and report on identified data points, continue to look for ways to improve current programs and address needs for additional programming

  • Coordinate and support the registration process for all student programs

  • Request support from Executive Director and colleagues in a proactive manner to best serve all of Austin Aspires

 

As an A.L.O.T Program Navigator you will:

  • Be housed in Austin Public Schools

  • Support students in grades 5-12 in Austin Public Schools and Pacelli Catholic Schools in five key areas: academic advising, tutoring, social-emotional health, connecting with families and connection to community resources

  • The goal of the work done by the navigator is to ensure all students enrolled in the A.L.O.T program graduate high school on time with a plan for success post-secondary

  • Advocate on behalf of students; and model for students how to self-advocate

  • Gather and report on identified data points, continue to look for ways to improve role in the interest of students and families

  • Support transition of students from IJ Holton to Ellis to Austin High School, and AHS to Riverland Community College (or post-secondary experience of choice)

  • Request support from Executive Director and colleagues in a proactive manner to best serve all of Austin Aspires
